Jessica Snyder is a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist specializing in individual, couples, and group therapy. Jessica is the founder and owner of Psychological Health Services, LLC in Holton, Kansas. With over a decade of experience and as a graduate of Washburn University, she is currently serving as a private practitioner working with adults and teens. Among her areas of expertise are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, & Trauma Recovery and Empowerment.
Jessica Snyder is an interactive therapist that aims to develop a genuine relationship with each of her clients that is founded in appreciation for their uniqueness and strengths. Her therapeutic approach is solution-focused as she works to apply evidence based treatments to help you reach your personal goals. It is her strong belief that the field of Psychology must remain focused on the balance between science and relationship. She maintains focus on the science by using treatment interventions that are based on what research has shown to be most effective and most thoroughly evaluated. She also uses assessments (symptom questionnaires supported again by research) to check-in on progress and determine if an adjustment in direction should be considered; this helps to ensure that the journey through therapy never loses site of the goal or steps off course for too long. Jessica approaches each person she works with as a student of their experiences rather than an expert on their life. Her only expertise lies in the skills she can offer that are based on her training; you are the expert on you. She offers a direct and honest source of feedback to each client she serves and tends to lighten the therapy experience when needed with a little humor and laughter. Jessica has deep compassion and understanding for the people she works with and is committed to helping you find the right path toward a THRIVING life.
When she is not serving through walking along-side people striving to reach their goals in therapy Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and with the Lord. She is committed to serving in her home church as well as the community. She enjoys reading, movies, and a good friendly game of Spades.
